Snows?

Postby honkerbonker22 » Tue Dec 01, 2009 9:27 pm

I live in wyoming and would love to shoot some snow geese. I have never hunted them. I am looking for some advice. How far into south dakota would I need to go to have a decent chance at some? How many decoys would I need. Are socks a waste of time? And what kind of electric caller is cheapest that still works decent? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Get to 81 and head north off I-90 sometime around March 1st. I use socks about 800 and caller I can control volume with.

Pretty much from Huron to the east. Socks are good. And any ecaller that you can control volume and has a few speakers. If you come this way you may want to bring a 4wheeler. Its going to be a muddy mess.

And if we get as much snow as they're saying. It might not be till the middle of April till they get here.
