NEW DUCKS

Postby argoattack » Sun Oct 16, 2011 12:01 pm

Was out this morning and noticed quite a few ducks flying high and there was alot more ducks in the area where we were hunting. Possibly the start of some migrators moving into the area. Saw numerous flocks of Scaup and Mallards. Next few weeks ought to be fun as long as the weather holds!

Saw some specks on wednesday morning when we were out hunting. Which is usually your/my first sign of some sort of migration.

Glad to here that things are looking up! Headed that way this weekend and would love some updates throughout the week. Are you having success?

Seeing quite a few more birds moving into the area. Seems like the gadwalls are on the move, have seen a few small flocks of snow geese and tundra swans up by Sand Lake. Colder weather ahead, hopefully will get things bunched up a bit and using the corn fields.

Shot a limit of mallards this morning in the corn. Lots of ducks moving around. Numerous flocks feeding around us. Saw quite a few flocks of snow geese too.
