So how did everyone do today? 3 of us went out and we only got 8, there wasn't much cover where we were hunting because of the cows and the farmer mowed everything. At least we got one. It was pretty cold today too, and the birds weren't holding that tight from what I noticed.

Well opening day was good untill about 5. Thats when I fell off of a erosin bank, which was a about a 5ft fall. And severly sprained my ankle. I had my limit by then, was just walking to help my dad, uncle and roommates to limit out. Probably out for atleast 2 weeks from walking fields. And who knows how long before I can put waders back on. So it looks like its field hunting for ducks and geese or no hunting.

Look at the plus side, you won't have to walk as much...you could block, hope it will get better for you soon.

Blocking is okay, but what really sucks is that I wont be able to walk in a slough probably untill next year. So all of my hunting will have to be field hunting. Which sometimes is a problem.
