Nashville, Tn hunting stores?

Postby MOSSBERG935 » Tue Jan 05, 2010 4:13 am

I'm coming to Nashville this weekend and was looking for some hunting stores. I realize they have Cabelas and Bass Pro, but is there anything else, like mom and pop stores.

You won't find a Cabela's in Nashville my man. What are you looking to buy while in the area?

Depending on the route you're taking down this way, you may be able to swing by "Uncle Lee's" (also known as "Wing Supply"). You can check out what they have online at: http://www.wingsupply.com . They're located in Greenville, KY off the Western KY Parkway. As far as Nashville is concerned, someone else will have to shed some light on that topic.

Well there's bass pro, friedman's army navy near downtown on hillsboro rd, academy sports, then if you like the pricey stuff there's Game Fair (they have all the orvis and filson stuff that the rich guys like)

I've never actually been in it but yeah it's in belle meade so it's probably $100 just to breathe the air in that store. I've heard they've got good stuff it's just the real high end

I remembered driving past it but wasn't positive where it was... don't think I'll be visiting that store anytime soon. This is why: $1095 for this: http://www.gamefairltd.com/salepics/lile2.jpg

Over around where 440 and West End meet... Been here since August and can't wait to hit the dusty trail back to the country.

There's a great gun store in Franklin, down 65 about ten miles. Franklin Gun Shop (http://www.franklingunshop.com/
Definitely worth the drive. Closed Sunday and Monday and after 6:00 pm every night, I think.

Yeah in Nashville that part of town is about as non-country as it gets, too many dudes over there wearin skinny jeans and crap. I lived in Green Hills for six years during and right after I graduated from Lipscomb and couldn't wait to get out! But on a brighter note, you're right next to Rotiers the best burger and shakes in Nashville! I'm not that far from you really, I'm in Crieve Hall by Ellington Agricultural Center.

You're right, pretty non-country here... although I did see some more duck feathers from someone flying around the apartment complex. My wife also commented on seeing a jon boat with a blind on it rollin' around here. Guess there are some fellow hunters around somewhere.

and a P.S. on Rotier's... still haven't been there! Every time we've stopped by there's people spilling out the door. That and my wife's been a time or 2 and isn't fond of all the grease apparently. I gotta get one of those burgers...
