Cheatham/Cheatham Lake WMA for Doves

Postby jvTNhunter » Tue Aug 31, 2010 10:26 am

Hey guys-
Just moved back to Nashville from a jaunt in Richmond. Was thinking about scooting over to Cheatham to try and bust some doves this week/weekend, wanted to check and see if any of you had hunted it before. Lots of pressure out there? advice? Heading that way because the soy on our farm is super high and we wouldn't be able to find a dove in it to save our lives, especially without making it look like bigfoot walked through the fields.
Many thanks in advance, glad to be home.

Fellas-

93 views and no response? I'm not cyberscouting here, believe me I'm 100% against that, just curious about some of the best practices with WMAs here in TN, and any related experience to Cheatham. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Cheatham's fields were washed out this year.. I had a buddy go up there yesterday and shot at 1 bird all day.. If it wasn't for the rain.. may have had a better day.
