Looking for lease - field, pit, woods, swamp... whatever...

Postby CP » Thu Apr 12, 2012 8:20 pm

Looking for a lease for a field or area that holds ducks. No pit or blind needed, I have my own boat, gear, etc.

It is just me, one guy. Max price is $800 per year. I am not looking for a slaughter hole at that price, just a nice place that I can hunt a day a week during the season. Anywhere in Mid or West TN is fine.

you would be better off huntign the Tn river... if your willing to spend 800 for a place, there are others willing to pend more as a group.. you would be doing good to get in on a decent lease with a group for 800 per...

good luck.

Most of the guys I hunt with have been dead broke over the last several years so I'm lucky if they bring a bag of sausage ect. The older guys I hunt with whip out a debit card and fill the truck/boat! I could afford to go more often if more of the guys helped like that!

My rule... if they drive their truck and use their boat... I pay for gas. That is only fair. I have hunted with a lot of guys over the past 5 years since I started hunting ducks. If guys are a joy to hunt with... I make myself a joy to bring along.

Seriously, if I go hunting or fishing with a guy, I always ask to stop so that I can spray clean the boat. It lets people know you respect them, and value their friendship.

Similarly, if I drive my truck and bring my boat and a guy comes with me, I don't demand it, but I notice it when...
1) guys don't get crumbs/fries/cigarette dust in the cab of my truck
2) guys wipe off the mud that they bring in my boat
3) there is an offer to split gas costs, and
4) (For the love, this one burns me...) don't litter out the side of the boat/car.

There is nothing more insulting than fishing/hunting with someone for a day, and you watch them treat your stuff like garbage.

Let's schedule it. I am in TN. I am heading west for teal and woodie season. I have boat, gear. Let's make a plan... and kill some ducks.
