I hunted Old Hickory Saturday and Sunday. We killed very few ducks. However, the blind next door had a great two days.

On Saturday we saw around 250 to 300 ducks flying and about 50 to 75 on Sunday.

We were hunting blind 4 and 0 was the place to be.

I have heard 4 and 0 are very good blinds. Have yall killed many in four this year? Or has 0 done all of the shooting?

This was the first time I hunted 4. I think they do kill ducks there but I have herd that it is a better late season blind (180 or so were killed after christmas last year). 0 I have herd is regularly productive.

What blind are you hunting out of and how has it been going?

I hunt on the middle section of unit 1 and we are at 89 ducks as of today. Either me or some of my partners have been in the blind every day except for 2. Other blinds in the area are not doing as quite as well. :hammer:

Three of us hunted yesterday and we ended up with 16 ducks and 2 geese. We heard a little bit of shooting around but it didnt sound like many people were hunting.

The guys I hunt with killed 10 on saturday and there were 4 of us on sunday and we knocked down 19 and found 18. Mostly Mallards and Gadwalls some Jacks and a couple of Widgeon. My brother and a few other guys hunted monday and brought out 20. Today they killed 11. The only other blinds that I have heard much about is 0 and 14. I heard 0 is crushing em and 14 is doing pretty well (shocking) Im pretty sure both of these holes are in corn this year. 82 did quite a bit of shooting the other day but it sounds pretty spiratic.

Old Hickory needs some weather!!! We're not going to kill many at all when all they do is fly around the refuge all day!

Thats probably 81 you're hearing doing the shooting!!! Guys if you're hunting this end of the lake.. Lock you're valubles up or take them out!!! There's a thief on the loose up that way! 81 has had a pair of waders stolen and a cooking grill,, 82 has had a mallard machine stolen and their boat was pushed in the middle of the hole with the plug pulled out, and someone has also thrown trash all around in the blind! I've spoke with the guys from 81 and they say there is a guy coming in mid afternoon every day by his self in a small jon boat that is nozing around..They think he's probably coming in from the Gallatin side..

I hunt that part of the lake just about every year. We have a problem with somebody every year. The only reason we havent had any problems this year is becuse we are there every day. The hunting has dropped off to about 3 or 4 ducks a day. maybe we will get a push of new birds in.

I hate to say which blind we have and if I said how many we have killed this year everyone would say I was lying. I have hunted on Old Hickory since I was old enough to go and this is the best year we have ever had.
