2 Hunters Looking to put group together for SEMO rice pit

Postby JDS-TN » Tue Sep 23, 2008 1:55 pm

We're looking for 4 guys to hunt a southeast MO rice pit. 40 acres, 12' pit with dog box on outside. I've never hunted this pit but have hunted the area for about 10 years. $750 each

or

Willing to join another group if you have room and if price is right.

JDS

I would be interested but I have a baby due in January and I can not stray to far from Nashville this season. PM me and we can keep in touch for next season. I have about 3 ~4 other guys that may also be interested next year.

Might be interested, who is leasing it to you and what are the specifics, how large a field pit capacity, where is it located etc.

Have a new and, I think better opportunity.

Same area - Southeast MO, New Madrid county near Hwy 'P' and CR 713. (Both pits are in same area) This other pit is 24' long in 80 acre bean field. Farmer rotates beans, corn, rice so next year will be corn. About 6-10 miles due north of Reelfoot as a duck flies. 1st flood provided, any subsequent pumping is $22 per hour. Looking to put together 8 guys at $625. Don't know how they did last year, just found out that the group that was going to lease did not come up with the $. Season 11-27 through 1-25. Out of state license is about $75 plus federal stamp.

Looks like I have 2, Teamoutlaw may be in for 2, Guy from Chattanooga says OK but I'd have to confirm.

Sorry JR....thought I had posted a "closed posting" message. We weren't able to get it together this year and have since chosen other alternatives. If there are any fields left now, probably not very good.

Teamoutlaw may still be trying to get some guys together though I don't know about any leases that are still available.

Good Luck!
