Do not know who has it but it looks like a death trap with a flooded hole and no brush. As of a few weeks ago anyway . :help:

I know i was just wondering if they where planning on hunting it? If it does not get brushed then i would not even bother about going to that blind.

In all it's wisdom TWRA refuses to divulge who has the blinds citing some Department of Transportation Law covering disclosure of driving records. I think there is a new state law that will NOT allow them to hide behind this but getting the information is diffcult and time consuming. I have been trying to get similar information about the Reelfoot NON DRAW blind permit holders for two years to no avail. I think they don't wnat anyone to know who the permit holders are so the current holders can transfeer the blinds to others. This was STOPPED in the 80's BUT ther Good Old BOY network is still alive and well in Tennessee!

I would think that they would since they rebuilt it. But not having it brushed befor they flooded makes me wonder also.

I've seen it happen many times. The blind 4 guys will roll in on opening day or the first day they hunt, throw a little cane on the blind and wonder all year why they are not having any luck. As for 0, I've hunted it many times. Normally, the ducks fly across the ditch 45-50 yards away. I have sat and watched group after group do this while the blind occupants would jump up and empty their guns. A few will fall and over 50% are lost as cripples (many do not even look for them). I wish whoevery has 0 good luck BUT I'd be surprised if the kill over 150 ducks. That is the USUAL number.

I would be suprised as well if they kill more than that with the corn that is in front of them this year. But how ever it works out I hope everyone has a good year on unit 1.Good luck to all.

Rocky Creek

Postby bluemarlin08 » Tue Nov 25, 2008 6:40 pm

The secret to killing birds in that Rocky Creek blind is to hunt it hard if the river gets up. Ducks will come back there, might have to set up out of the blind. Use to spend a lot of time bird hunting around there.

It will kill some ducks. Some of the old Trousdale County boys used to take it every year. It's not a bad spot once the binging and banging gets started on the WMA. Ducks like it up there because it's more quiet and secluded. It will not tolerate killing every day. Do you know there is a pr\ivate launcing ramp just downstream? We used to get permission to use it. It belongs to the brick home next to it. We also used to lock a boat up there with permission. It will freeze quick! Wooodies look out early!
