Hey guys! I'm new here but I'm from Memphis and primarly hunt the Mississippi River. We hunted all morning, but didn't see many ducks and the low water levels make for some tough hunting. Hope ya'll killed some ducks and good luck tomorrow!

We (2 hunters) did good considering all the things that went wrong before daylight and the fact that we had to be back home by 8:15 AM. 5 wood ducks and 3 mallards. I like the new woody limit

Yeah we had 8 shooters on Friday and limited within 30 min. Today was a lot slower but still good as 5 of us killed 20.

We did pretty good for East TN. I limited out on hooded mergansers and my brother got his first duck. I'm still kind of kicking myself for letting him have the drake, but it was worth it seeing him get it instead of me. Don't know how well they'll taste since they eat fish though, I guess I'll leave them in the brine awhile and find out. On a side note, does anyone know how long they can hold they're breath for? I didn't see one of mine for about 20 minutes, but I might have missed a resurface or something.

Can't wait to try it then. Oh well, we shot them so we'll try them. Hopefully a few days in brine and then a few in a marinade will get the fishy taste out...

Lucky West Tennesseers. Y'all probably see more ducks in one trip than I will all season.

I am from middle tn and i usually hunt Old Hickory and i got tired of seeing blue skys so i headed west. It also helps when you have hunting buddies who have a blind out there.

Say lefty do you know if there are many birds on Chicamauga (or however it's spelled). I was thinking of heading over there sometime.
