TEXAS PANHANDLE REPORT

Postby wildphilhickup » Sun Jan 01, 2006 11:27 am

THE BIRDS ARE THERE!

We hunted the Northern section of the panhandle.

Hunted on Thursday, 12/29

2 - Lesser Canadas

8 - Mallards

4 - Sandhill Cranes (the farther North you go, the more cranes)

The Sandhills are amazing. We crawled ~300 yrads through a grass field to a playa. We laid on our backs and waited until almost sunset. They were right on top of us, coming to roost on the lake. The lake was covered with Mallards too! Use big shot like F's, T's or BBB's as they are hard to kill. :hammering:

Hunted on Friday, 12/30

6 - Canadas

It has been a good year in the panhandle.

:salude:
