River tips

Gna do a lil river hunting. From what I've seen they're flying up and down the river and not really landing. I have found a few sandbars and small fingers with no current. My question is should I set up some dekes and maybe a mojo to try and entice them to land or just brush up and pass shoot?

Put out dekes and if they decoy, great, if not then you pass shoot.

Not from Texas but here in Missouri we found a place where a creek runs through a guys farm where he feeds cattle. The cattle eat and then go get a drink in the creek and take a crap, full of corn. The ducks eat the undigested corn. Problem solved.
