Indiancreek - If you hunt the marsh, or within 5 miles of them on the prairie, you will see mottled ducks. Sounds like a hunt trade might be in order...

Duck Collector, awesome trip! Y'all hunting out of an airboat, or is rockport deep enough that you can use outboard to get to duck huntin spots? Did my first bay hunt in midcoast last month out of my girlfriend's friend's boyfriend's airboat, amazing experience! Redheads may be one of the best decoying birds there are - HAHAHAHA!!!

There sneaky bastards ... ! Shot one during the first split that's going to the taxidermist, first one I've killed in 21 years. We used to shoot them every single hunt.

Your girlfriends boyfriend?? Did i read that wrong or what?

A lot of people run air boats but if you stay in the channel you can hunt a prop motor. We run a jet drive so we can go alot of places a normal boat cant...

Nice birds how many did you have on the boat... We saw a good amount of pins that wouldn't decoy rafting up in the backwater lakes... bout a 600yd hike in with no cover to hunt... Also saw a handful of cans and mottle ducks but we were just climbing in the blind when they buzzed us.
