USFW population estimates

Down from last year which is too bad..due to a late lasting winter and some flooded food source this spring. But better brooding and rearing habitat in many prairie pothole regions (not sure about the Borreal Forest areas) . I started early scouting last week and saw a little more vegetation and thicker cover and better possible concealment than last year.

They mention some traditional migration "lanes" and routes still have drought.
