Yeah I'm hoping to make up for not getting to thin them out during early teal. A little redemption!!! Lol. Plus they are soooooooo tasty!

Saw a few gaddys on a public pond I scouted yesterday evening. Would like to see it in the morning before I hunt it. It's also a freaking long ass hike through some thick crap to get to, which hopefully means no one else will hunt it.

Hah. It was hard enough finding it during daylight. Gonna be hell to find it at night carrying decoys, waders, shells, calls, gun, etc...

Helpful hint: Drop a pin on the location on a maps app on your phone. Will help you get right back to the spot

Hmm if it's on public land I know I bet it will be a b! Some of those ponds are way the heck back in there. But u should be pretty alone away from the lazy crazies!

I remember hunting with someone off here about 3 years ago when I went back home to visit my parents in the Dallas area for Christmas. Public walk in, low 30s, light rain/ice coming down. Walking in full gear for what seemed like forever just following him. Finally found it after backtracking and switching directions and probably walking in circles. Shot some birds but that hunt was one of the most miserable hunts I'd ever been on in terms of conditions.

Yup sounds about right... Lol but I have had some awesome hunts on public. Been awhile since conditions were right though....

F that! Lol... Some of the walks I have been on we roll our waders up and tuck em in a backpack. Give em to my buddy that's a marine let him pack em in. Wear some tennis shoes instead. Most of the walks are over dry land till u get right to where ur gonna hunt.

We'll in that case sure, but most of my long walks are through the salt marsh. You also gotta look out for sting rays
