Figured since we don't get many mallards down here on the Texas coast I would try my hand at some painting.

Drill a small hole in the tail feather area and add a black zip tie, one of the thicker ones.

I once tried cutting up a BWT decoy and putting the motor of a mojo dove inside of it. Did really work out because the teal decoy was to small unless you wanted a massive hole in the bottom. But if it worked $29.99 is a whole lot cheaper than $60+

If you want to give them something they haven't seen, at least in a while, give them a spread w/o Mojo's in it.

Yup ... !!!

Use a jerk chord or two! Works like a champ. Hell we even used one in teal season. Of course I can't recall ever having to use one before.

Nice paint job by the way ...

The no mojo spread is already in the playbook as we'll, honestly he will probably only fly foray be the first two weeks, then he gets put away.

Hey stump did you get paint kits to repaint or did you just buy the colors you needed from some where? All I can find in the catalogs and stores is mallard paint kits. I have some crappy mallards I want to make into crappy redheads.

to each his own, but I tend to agree. If it's close enough to notice, it should be dead.

$10 says someone asks you where you bought a pintail mojo. I say you offer to sell it for double the cost and tell them you got it custom made from then m

I do not disagree with you at all. However, since I hunt all public land anything I can do to set myself apart from everyone else's spread. Attention to detail, one of the first things taught to you in the military and one of the things that stuck. Plus it only took me maybe 15 minutes ;)
