Were killing ducks. Just wish we didn't have to shoot them out of 3 groups and not see anything else.

We have consistently been seeing gwt each morning... It's the mornings that we pass on them that we wish we wouldn't have. Lol!

Were shooting a few teal but not many... Seeing 1 or 2 groups a hunt maybe but that's it.

Took the boy to one of our small ponds for a quick father son hunt this morning... Had no idea it would be 5 minutes kinda quick hunt lol. So we unloaded the gun and watched some birds work the decoys before picking up. Great morning with my little buddy!

Yes sir always a great hunt when he is along. I didn't even see a single diver this morning..... Yesterday was a completely different story lol. Divers and spoons where plentiful!

been a tough, tough first split for me. been killing em' but it's a workout. lots of non decoying ducks. Anyway went out today with my dog Darleen and took this Canvasback which made me happy. Hope y'all are enjoying yourselves this fall/winter.

Damn, that is a nice Wigeon!!! Quick question, where does your boy sit in the layout? Opposite of the gun of course, but where do you find it easier to put him? The smile on that kid's face is priceless!

He actually sits in front of me... I just put him between both my legs and put good hearing protection on him. He is pretty short so when I raise up to shoot he tucks right up to my stomach lol. Image
