The spoons are killing me!

Every time I go out I get covered up in Spoonies hence my screen name. I'm fairly new to duck hunting. Will Spoonies pretty much go into any spread?

yep, I used to shoot a lot of spoons and it didn't matter what kind of decoys I had.

I rarely ever shoot spoonies.

Mostly gadwall and widgeon. Then a smattering of teal, mallards and an occassional diver.

I pulled of a bad@$$ shot on two different nice drake spoons this year. One was flying with about 30 redheads that were working the decoys and he stuck out like a swore thumb. The other was flying right next to a pintail drake and he gave me just enough room to take him out with out dropping both of them.

That is beautiful. I had a drake spoon last weekend of the season that i came close to putting on the wall. Just not perfect. They are few and far between.
