Just wait...sometime over the next few years you'll find yourself watching Jesse, Good Luck Charlie, or some other kid show without the kids.

Scouting during the split sure paid off. Just hoping they're still there in a week Image

Nice! Took the boy out scouting yesterday. Saw decent numbers but I still have a couple places to scout.

Was surprised at how many people where still shooting this morning at Ray Roberts. Talked to the GW and he said he had already found 4 groups with ducks this morning. Found some good spots holding a lot of birds. Unfortunately one of them had been covered in dog food. We counted 8 empty 40 lbs bags thrown in the brush. Who ever did it also built a new blind as well. I guess I know where the GW will be waiting Saturday morning. I can't wait for the second split to start. Looks like the weather has moved down a lot of new birds. Even saw quite a few mallards.

Hey I can't help it the bags split open on the way to the blind. I feed my pup while hunting out there so she stays fat and lazy.

Hungry pup to be needing 8 bags. I'm sure that defense would hold up. :help:

You realize like 90% of those birds are coot ... right ... ???? They'll probably still be there, I don't think they can walk fast enough to get away before it's open again ... ! LOL ...

You cook em up like the rest of your duck or do something different. i have never tried to eat them. i guess i just figured there was a reason the limit on them was so high compared to ducks.

Guess I should work on my bird ID. Thought green meant wigeon or mallard and red meant canvasback or redhead not coot, coot, coot, and another coot. Assume theses are all coots as well then again they aren't walking
