Well I finally made it to N TX (Wichita Falls) and I guess I have to make it home for the next 4 years. So over the coming months when the job stuff slows down a little I will be out scouting, and fishing. The only problem is this massive drought I keep hearing about. I figure I'll have to make some time in the coming weeks to check out the local waterways and wmas (or whatever they call em here) and figure out what's going to be fruitful. Anyways to make a long story short. I don't know anyone in the area that hunts and if ya have some spare time it would enjoy the company of someone who is willing to show me the ropes. Shoot me a PM. I don't mind traveling north to Ok or within a few hours of my location to do it either. I have all of my own equipment/ resources so I don't want anyone to feel like I'm mooching off of them, but I won't be the person that goes without giving you a shout if it's a place we scouted out either.

Thanks. Went and did a little looking around a bit today. Didn't find anything that I was in awe over. Looks like the water is pretty low in the lake I was checking out. Saw a few ducks out I'm it though. Was driving through town and there were probably 100+ big ducks at one of the bodies of water in the middle of town. Didn't look but they may of been park ducks, but there was a lot of em. Not gonna lie got me excited to just see a few.

I am sure I will get a better idea when I actually get to put my boat in the water. Hopefully it rains a bunch or I'm gonna regret not going with a mud motor.

Between family and the time I put in to having a successful duck season in years passed with a little fishing involved. I just don't have time. Uncle Sam only can do without me so much. Couple that with a few temporary duties and a 6-7 month deployment every once in a whole. The luxury of huntin em all just hasn't been there. Got about 10 years left then hopefully I'll land into a job that lends to me going all out. Heading to Missouri to visit the in laws for white tail and gobblers. Northern AR to he parents get away for world class trout and by then I'll be hopefully settled down in east central AR.

Then there that chance that I fall in love with this state and come back.
