Cleaned out a pond at the ranch. Need to go back and double this. Image

67 bass? 8-9 cats. Would have been more if someone woulda listened to the bait recommendation. Through back the nice Bass.

Lucky mother  ... that's awesome. I know that in Florida they run the surf this time of year like mad, but I don't see a whole lot of them being caught in Texas like that.

Back east you can run around just outside of the breakers in the spring and sight cast to them ... pretty fun.

They were catching them in the surf at SLP also Stump. Oh and heads up the Kings, large smacks and snapper are in too. Bunch of yak buddies hit it on tuesday and every one of them limited on kings. One of the guys even hooked into a sail and had his avet almost spooled. :) I will be down soon.

I am bored of catching smacks... We fished the packery jetties last week and caught over 50 of them between two of us.. Gonna slide line off bob hall next week see what happens.

Sweet another photo made the Lone Star Outdoors TFO photo contest.

The photo is #49. It captured my buddy Gerardo Olmos getting tail lashed by a nice 5'Blacktip Shark a mile or so offshore in his Native Manta. This photo would be normal for most fishermen except the fact that this was Gerardo's first shark from a kayak while BTB and I was happy to chase him down to help coach him and catch the moment for him. I love this sport, we are a tight knit family on the water.

I would appreciate any support from friends, family and co workers.

Again I am #49, click the check box at the top of the page and then click the Vote button near the top photo. Thanks!

Boy that is a nice trout. We went down last yr and fished West bay and did really well. Largest red was 33'' on baby croaker. We limited out on trout and started on reds but got caught out in a lightning storm. Lightning hit the water straight down and just exploded. Never seen that before. I had a silver drum burn up a diawa once. I caught it on the rocks at gavelston and never got it in. Big ol' fish though. Hope I can get there this yr. Usually go to San Luis pass and fish the far side at night for big reds. My wife caught her first red off the bay side there, a 42'' beauty. She nearly shot me when I threw it back.
