I just found out that one of my friends has some land I can hunt on around El Campo. Anybody hunt down there? What do you kill out there?

I've been there. I went 2 years ago on a goose hunt. There were geese everywhere...everywhere except our spread. We watched them in the fields around us and had a few come in. Didn't see many ducks though.

El Campo has ducks and geese.

If you have water you will probably shoot ducks. Mainly teal/spoonies/pintails.... sometimes you get gadwall and wigeon. If you have a lot of water and/or deep water you might get some divers, but mainly it will be a puddler shoot. I have only seen a few mallards killed in that area. FWIW

This is great! I hope everything turns out like yall say. I've never killed a goose-always wanted to. Looks like this might be my lucky season.
