Hello. I am new to the forum. I am looking to Teal hunt tomorrow morning, but don't know where the Teal are here in North Texas. What about these lakes: Weatherford, Fork, Tawakoni, Lavon, Ray Roberts, Cooper?
Thanks,
Thanks. I went to Fork this weekend and saw about 15. However, there were 2 boats and 1 wouldn't move. That's unethical. Wehn you see dekes and guys with guys ask you to move politely, you should.
Oh well, I'll be back.
The game wardens said there were teal scattered across the lake.
Get out and scout. There are not many around but there are enough if you know where to look. We were able to have a decent opener hunting public. We didn't shoot limits but had the opportunity to shoot AT limits.
The teal are REAL thin in N. Texas......must be why so many did well in the coastal region. We did well, but only because we managed to scout huntable numbers before opener. Our hole was shot up badly on Sat. afternoon (empty hulls everywhere issed: ).....most of the birds high-tailed it for Sun. hunt.
Historically, second weekend won't be any better.......I'll more than likely be dove hunting with Mad Mallard  .
