From Rich Hansen at FB:
We are planning on having a work day out here at Farmington Bay WMA on Saturday May 4, @ 0800. We will meet at headquarters. Over a mile of the Turpin dike that was being eroded away with wind/water action has been rebuilt. The plan is to plant hardstem bulrush and threesquare and maybe a little bit of cattail at the base of the dike. Hopefully these plants will establish and prevent future erosion. Depending on the number of folks that show up, we could be working between 2 and 4 hours. You may want to bring the following items: shovel, spade or small shovel, gloves, waders or knee boots, drinks etc.....
Let me know if you plan on coming, so I have an idea of how much help we may have.
