You're absolutely right, coot. Most of my honey holes have water in them right now, but the water levels are pretty darn low and a lot can happen to make things worse between now and hunt time. Pray for rain and lots of it, boys!

Where I hunt here in the ogden area there is plenty of water and ducks are already starting to number up. Seen a lot of woodies lately which in the past has always led to a strong start to the season. My group wont harvest any woodies unless a new member doesnt have a mount of one and we will let them take one to do so. We just invested in a new duck boat and are excited to hit the water and let some shells fly!

I don't think I could sleep at night knowing you Southern boys might have a better waterfowl season than us Northeners. I'm going to put up a billboard sign in Davis County that reads "Waterfowl Detour" with an arrow pointing directly East.

With a little coercion and bribery, we were able to get this sign posted at the South end of Farmington Bay.
