This trip is mainly for Pacific Black Brant and the subspecies of Cackler geese. The big goal is to harvest the smallest goose possible. hoping to get an Aleutian cackler that is the size of a pintail. 6 days of hunting should give me the chance. also I hope to get lucky and harvest a Eurasian Wigeon. Word is if we get a NW wind at 35 MPH they that is the magic hour. We most likely will pass on ducks for the most part. when you have to eat what you shoot so you can go out the next day we will be choking down a lot of waterfowl. but if we get in the pintails then im not holding back. Something about shooting 8 drakes just gets me all warm and fuzzy. ptarmigan are on the list. limit is 25/day. I dont care to shoot that many at all. but looking for a few good specimens to mount up!
