the refuge should go under lock and key. however with the auto gate being destroyed during the summer im sure they will put up a gate of some kind or have an officer there saturday morning if this shutdown goes that long.

***i drove out to the brbr at lunch time. they have been constructing a new automatic gate. although its not complete the place was locked up. should make for an interesting place if this shutdown goes into the weekend.

With BRBR closed that is going to be bad for 2 reasons:

1. all the duck hunters that go there every year are going to overflow into Public shooting grounds, Harold Crane, Ogden Bay, and Farmington Bay. which will make things that much more crowded.

2. Most all the ducks in the area will have the biggest "Safe Zone" they've had in years, and they'll just hold up there for as long as our government won't compromise.

I'm debating at even fighting the crowds now on the opener. Especially with the Great Salt Lake and Farmington Bay's water levels being what they are.

I'm not happy about this. :crying:
