He will be 3 in January. But he was a trooper considering the down pour that hit us for the last hour or so. It scares me to think that he will be shooting before long. Time flies.

That pictures says more about what makes for a good dad than any thousand pages of self-help books. Well done.

Thanks everybody that means a lot. If you post a picture like that on any other social media people will tell you that you are a bad parent for subjecting your child to cold weather, blood, violence, guns, etc. without seeing the real value in the time spent and the experience.

Fact is, we need more parents to subject their kids to this kind of "cold weather, blood, violence, guns, etc." Keep it up!

Ya I don't think there are enough shotgun shells in the state to shoot all of the shovelers and teal that have been buzzing around out there. Where are all of the gadwalls and widgeons?

Love those pics with kids. My 10yo daughter loves the hunt. Most of my kids don't like to go out but she is a trooper. She just got her first one the sunday after the duck opener.

Took the little guy out again. This time he wanted to try and carry all of the ducks. Cant wait until he is actually old enough to be the bird dog like I was when I was just a little kid.
