Warm temps

Postby northpointhunting » Fri Dec 13, 2013 9:32 pm

Supposed to be mid to high 40's next week, think that could open some water back up or no?

I don't think it will just because it will still be freezing tempatures at night. But it would be nice if it did.

I hope it doesn't warm up and open up more water. There aren't all that many birds arround And mor open water just means more spread out birds.

Scouted today. Still as frozen as my frostbitten fingers were last week. You can find a couple pockets to be had by those who work their butt off, unless you drive south... That's where i'll be this weekend! Wack n' Stack!

The weather report changed and I for one am glad it's not going to warm up anytime soon. The sub freezing temperature is a waterfowlers best friend. After the majority of areas are locked up in ice, finding open water nearly guarantees you birds will be there, and lots of them.

Thank, man! It's my one woodrow of the year. I'm extremely please with the wood duck numbers I've seen thus far this season. They seem to be doing quite well along this particular river. This little fellas was in a group of 20-25 and I jumped several smaller groups in my search for the mallards.

That's great to hear. Hopefully they keep increasing in population
