Luck up North?

Postby duckaddict » Mon Oct 10, 2005 1:23 pm

Did anybody head out to Ogden Bay, Bear River Bird Refuge, or any other places up north? I went out to Ogden Bay and managed to pull in a few mallards, a gadwall, and some teal. It got slow real fast so we went up by my house and jumped some birds on a slough that my unlce owns. Jump shooting proved more effective than anything.

we killed ar share of mallards on Saturday, but boy was Sunday slow.
The only flock that came into my blocks were cans I did scratch down a nice bull I may even get the thing mounted.

They cruzed by with their jets on and hit them with the old pur and bark rutine on the mallard call and they bought it right right away. It is a shame I had a rare circumstantial alone day so only one bird came down.
