Missisquoi Lost & Found

Postby ronvt » Mon Sep 28, 2009 5:02 am

Does anybody know if the Misisquoi has a lost and found? :lol3: Well, I am off to another great start, with the Missisquoi claiming my decoy poll. Just thought I would start a thread to see some of the intereresting things waterfowlers have lost due to the Missisquoi muck.

I found a rusty autoloader in that muck a few years ago, somebody else must have a good story....... It was still loaded and everything. I couldn't salvage it thought, too far gone
What? There's open water? Its not cold enough.

So far: headlamp, electronic ear muffs, several gloves, endless supply of dropped shells, a jacket, several ripped waders, and now a decoy pole. And I am going back opening day. You gotta love this sport.

how are the water levels overthere? How deep is the muck around the blind stakes?

Water levels are low and there seems to be more muck concentrated. Very difficult for the dog. Hopefully, the rain in the forecast will help.

I lost my walking pole/ decoy retriever around saxes #3. I figure someone found it and kept it as there own because I lost it 4-5 weeks ago and I went back the weekend after I lost it and it was gone. but oh well!

Mud creek claimed 1 decoy and a main line. Starship enterprise sized floating cattails took out 5, and probably 4 and 6.
