canoe duck blind???

Postby corby » Fri Jun 04, 2010 3:12 pm

I recently picked up a 15'4 Old Town sportsman square stern. Has anyone ever tried to put a duck blind on one of these things before? Im just trying to spit ball a few ideas and could use any and all help I can get.

Not sure about building a tall blind on it, but I think it could be made into something quite similar to a skulling boat. I think with some careful work, a low removable platform could be built into it and it could be turned into a layout boat.

That thought did cross my mind, I saw one that a guy did that he just added some back supports out of 2X6's padded them and built a bracing that stuck in the mud so the canoe wouldnt roll when you shot. thanks man appreciate the response.
