Rice breast

Postby magogwhacker » Wed Oct 20, 2010 5:36 am

I'm wondering if you guys are getting a lot of ducks with rice breast. I haven't had one in a couple years, but I've gotten two already this year. I used to get a lot of them when I hunted up at MNWR. One only had a few worms that I just cut out, but one was loaded with them, I didn't eat it. Both were big fat black ducks that looked healthy and had a nice yellow skin.
What? There's open water? Its not cold enough.

We have not harvested a lot of ducks so far this year but all that we have gotten have been healthy and no issues with the meat.
