Felt Soled Waders no longer allowed in Vermont

Postby yellodog1 » Thu Jan 13, 2011 1:32 pm

Vermont has outlawed Felt Soled Wader use in streams and ponds around the State. Most likely to stop the spread of Rock Snot in the streams and rivers around the State. I don't know of many duck hunters that use felt soled waders as they are primarily lighter in weight and are used primarily for trout fishing, but it's something to be aware of if you have some. My father has a cheap pair of felt bottom waders that he has used as backups duck hunting.
