Mud Creek

Postby LBeinhaur » Thu Sep 08, 2011 5:13 am

HAs anyone hunted Mud Creek on the controlled area?

I see that after the 1st 2 days are preregister days and then self register after then.
Is the hunting any good there?

Can be difficult to get in there sometimes, depending on water levels. I've been a fes times. I've had better luck hunting Missisquoi.

When they say mud, they mean "MUD". It is floating cattail mash with no bottom. There can be some ducks there sometimes, but it is a miserable mudhole to get around in. If you have a portable boat you can hunt out of, like a kayak or a fatboy, it could be your kind of place.
What? There's open water? Its not cold enough.

Are there built blinds at Mud Creek or are the designated areas just more of a place to hunt in canoe or with waders?

Right now it is a double portage. One over land and the other over floating cattails. Hunted opening day. Very few ducks, only fired 4 shells..
