Lamoille River Access

Whoever the pinhead is that is plucking ducks at the boat ramp, knock it off. It makes us all look bad in the eyes of the peace-freaks and non-hunters.

Doesn't make much sense to me. How would they even retrieve ducks if they did shoot something?

I understand that not everyone can have nice things like boats, and all the gear required, but if shooting from the boat ramp, they must at least have a canoe to retrieve... if so, they should easily be able to paddle down river a bit and away from traffic areas.

However, I've seen stranger things... last year, in my ground blind, there was a guy with his son who decided to hike in a setup 50 yards from me. I shot a mallard and he started to run it down as if it was his... I was a little pissed at first, but when I realized the guy was wading through chest deep water with jeans and a flannel, I thought to myself... "this guy can have the damn thing, I'm the F**k outta here" Couldn't believe a guy went swimming for a duck. Thank God November is here.... time to get our swamps backs. :)

RangerX,
I think you misunderstood me. I think that whoever did this, shot the birds elsewhere, and decided to pull the feathers at the access. I don't believe they shot the ducks at the launch.

In any event, it made a mess of feathers along the shoreline.

LOL, I did indeed... my bad. I use the term "plucking" as shooting all the time...
