Lake Champlain fishing season?

Postby VT_Diver-Junkie » Sun Mar 18, 2012 3:35 am

So Tuesday is going to be nice out and a friend has been bothering me to go fishing for the past 3 months now. So I was thinking Tuesday walk to fill and fish for Salmon and Walleye (Catch and release) The Vermont Fish and Game site said it opens on lakes April 14th.. I thought the lake season never closes... Can someone help me out? I would love to go fish Tuesday! :help:
Theres nothing like frostbite and gunpowder in the air!!!!

Hi, If you,re fishing for salmon, lake trout and brown on lake champlain the season never closes. Best bet at this time of the year would be mouth of the winooski river or the sand bar bridge, keeler bay or the far end of st-albans by the state park at the mouth of the creek. I was supposed to go out today but got engine issues at the launch so drove back home. The 4 bolts of holding the head of the engine to the cassing broke off. Don<t ask me how. hopefully i'll get to go out one afternoon next week. If you want to hook up let me know. I should have the boat back by monday.
A bad day fishing is better then a good day at work
