For those of us that hunt the Southern part of the Lake the bass guys are disrupting things so much with their frantic moving from place to place that we might as well stay home or find a beaver pond to hunt. There are a couple of bass tourney the day F&W intends to open the season.
Now that there are bass tourneys some of would like to see a Wed. opener become permanent to avoid the parking crowding and the disruption of the ducks patterns. There is also a safety issue as they don't know we are there and often there is fog so we can't see where they are, only can hear a boat come into the area where you have your blind. Yell and tell them you are hunting there??
Yea, good luck ,they'll leave when they are ready not before.
We had a guy cruise into our decoy spread last year, we tried to warn him we were duck hunting here and he was obnoxious about it and said he was involved in a bass tournament and he had a right to be there! We replied we were shooting 12 gauge shotguns and if a duck flew in,we would start shooting, and we hope we do not injure anyone on his boat! Well when the pellets rained down on his 50,000 dollar bass boat he left! He was warned!!!
