I have been seeing alot of larger groups of birds recently! I am seeing over 400 birds altogether in three different areas! One in Brandon area, some in Middlebury /Salsbury area, and one group in Clarendon /Rutland area, and they are all about 150 birds strong, still in family groups out in the fields but all in the same fields! Mostly cut hay/alfalfa,and one group in a cow pasture almost every day! Think it will be a fun time and good shooting for the early season!

I am ready to go. I haven't been seeing a ton of birds but enough to get me excited.

I have a large group of geese picked out to hunt opening morning. I counted 112 geese and 7 blue wing teal on this pond,,out of the 112 geese ,I counted 9 bands on the birds on shore,I would amagine since about 80 of th birds were in the water there will be more bands, think it is going to be a fun opener! Adam if you want to hunt with us you are more than welcome too! I will give you a call this weekend!

Still working on the dog going into the dogs blind! Bought a ground force dog blind for Jake and he is okay with going into it,but still wants to climb into my blind! He is getting alittle big for that now,he is at 97 lbs!LOL Saw a flock of geese down by the medical center, across the road there, looked like a decent spot to set up,but have no idea if you are going to be hunting them or not,I am trying to find a spot for tomorrow morning! Hoping you might want to go out!
