Hunting the Lake

Postby LBeinhaur » Wed Dec 04, 2013 5:31 am

I have been wanting to hunt the lake since the ponds are pretty much frozen. I am confused as to where you can hunt when on the lake.
I want to launch under the bridge and possibly hunt the bays on both side on the Vermont side , obviously. Are there restrictions as to how far from shore you need to be? Can you hunt near the bridge or are there restrictions as to how far away you need to be from the bridge? Obviously I know you have to shoot away from the shore and not toward building the bridge etc. If you shoot a bird and it glides over to the NY line can you go get it or are you illegal at that point.
I have a 17 ft grizzly tracker with a blond and want to put ot to use!!
Scouted down by the bridge yesterday and saw lots of buffies, golden eyes and merganzers, Also saw some other ducks farther out bit could not tell what the where with just binoculars.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can hunt to the high water mark (whatever normal lake levels are 95.xft) so basically if your boat is on the water, even right on shore, you are OK. have to be 500ft from residential.... Pretty much the entire lake you are good to go.

I have a 17 foot Grizzly too. It has a Pro-Drive mud motor and a Brunette.
