I'll be going out with my son and maybe my daughters boyfriend.
I saw a nice Tom courting a hen today. They sure stand out on the snow.

Still snow up where I am, but the Turkeys are all over. Looks like a lot survived the winter.

I haven't turkey hunted for the last 2 seasons, but thinking this year is the year to get back out there. A new owner has taken over some land that I like, I have a pretty good relationship with him and have secured hunting grounds waiting for me.
Have you punched a PETA member today? Why not?

Yes, looks like it, I may have to leave and drop the kids off after we set up for a while, but I will come back over.

Anybody have any luck this weekend?
I went out Thursday with no luck.
Saturday I went out and watched 2 bears and a coyote feed on some dead cows for about an hour or so. That was the hilight of my Turkey hunting so far

Jake from last Saturday, killed with my old school Model 12 Super-X. I got out last Thursday and Friday, so this was my third morning out. Picture is from my camera phone, so the quality isn't great.

Tomorrow I will be headed out to try to fill my second tag.

There was alot of birds around, more than I thought after such a snowy winter. I ended up getting a jake on sunday. I've been seeing a ton of hens around. Every year the turkey hunting seems to be getting better and better. Good luck everyone!

Congratulations to all those that got Turkeys. I missed a week, but went out Saturday, Saw 1 Jake across a field and heard a Gobbler in the woods behind me, but couldn't get him to come out.
Oh well, a couple of more weeks.
