Hunting Fields Bay

Postby LBeinhaur » Mon Nov 03, 2008 3:32 am

Looks like my last post didn't take
I wamt to see if anyone has hunted waterfowl on Fields Bay , south of the mouth of Otter creek? I have never been out there in the bay but I see on the Lake chart it is real shallow. Looks like good duck territory.

Hi. A group of us put a blind in there this year. Hunted mobile last year but froze our asses off in dec. Had some very good days there last year but this year has been slow so far... Some of the guys hunting that area have gotten some decent shooting.

Good luck to you. If you hunt out there You'll see us. We're the blind on the point as you come into the bay from the mouth of otter creek. We put that blind up in really high water and now it towers out of the water- not what we'd hoped for, oh well.

Thanks for the info on Fields Bay.
How is the water in the bay, shallow?
I have a 14 ft V bow alum and a Stealth 1200 duck boat.
What would you recommend?
