Redhead

Postby magogwhacker » Mon Nov 17, 2008 9:53 am

I saw a redhead on the Stowe bike path yesterday. Seriously, I'm talking about the duck. In the little river next to the path. It was definitely a redhead, not a merganser. Has anyone else seen one around? I don't think I've ever seen one while hunting.....maybe a *** blowing by, but never a for sure sighting.
What? There's open water? Its not cold enough.

I was at mud creek 2 weeks ago when another hunter shot a hen redhead. They are around and difficult to identify when flying unless it is a full plumage drake. I have only seen hens.
