First Limit of Ducks in four years of hunting and first band every. Glad to put the gun away with the last shot on a bird. Reported it this morning and she was banded in Maine 5/19/01.

You sure can shoot a a ton of whistlers and never get another band.......way to go.

Here is how we finished up the year. "Mossy" (from here) was with us and wouldn't you know it, he got a little trophy of his own.

Congrats! I have killed a lot of goldeneyes over the years, but never a Barrows. That is quite a trophy for this part of the world. I was privileged this year to shoot a Ruddy. I had never even seen one before but I recognized it right away and was fortunate enough to make a good shot on it.

Glad to see such a succesful hunt.

On the forst picture on this post, is that a Otter 1200??
Where you out on the Lake in that. I have one as well and I like it for Dead Creek, but don't know if I would take it out on the Lake!!

No. Phantom by Otter Outdoors (Kayak/layout boat). It was calm when I paddles out, then wind picked up and I had to book it back in just after I finished.

Nice Shoot Andrew. I finished off the year in the same fasion. 2 of us went out Thursday shot a Blue Bill, 10 Whistlers, and a Mallard. Last hunt is always a bit of a downer as you toss your gear back in the truck. On the upside, the coutdown gets closer everyday. Less the 10 months to go.
