Reminds me of a week or two ago here in NH. We got some divers but the mallards didnt want to play. Drove through the town and saw some in EVERY piece of open water, all near houses, etc haha

Plenty for next year! :hammer:

Andrew, Where in Burlington did you take those pics? I always like to go watch the ducks even if you can't hunt them. I'm thinking Barge Canal, but I didn't think the buildings where that close?? Not to mention I think that would freeze over early.

It's the barge canal behind Burlington Electric. This morning there were about 150 of the little rascals out there!!!

this morning at about 7 and again at 530 there was about 1000. They are roosting in it. They have been making a racket, hails and feeders, pretty sweet.

Thanks. I'll have to check that out on my next day off. Been out looking at Whistlers. Been a big flock in Shelb Bay, Charlotte Beach, Shelburne beach has some, but not a ton, Converse Bay, and south of Long Point. A guy with a scope showed us a pair of Canvas Back in Shelburne, and we spotted a Bald Eagle in the Bay as well as 2 flying past Shelburne Beach. There are a few thousand Whistlers hangin around only a few miles of lake.
