Opening day

Postby OATBED » Fri Nov 18, 2005 3:43 pm

Just wanted to wish everyone a safe hunt filled with the sights of a gorgeous sunrise (a dull gray morning with the wind blowing 20 mph),
a dog with nervous energy (a dog jumping in the boat before you can pull it in the water), a sky full of ducks (preferably closer then 30 yards), the smell of a wet muddy dog (or bacon cooking), the sky full of ducks all with their wings cupped and coming in (or perhaps a limit), the comradery of good friends (or someone to joke with about their shooting ability be it poor or terrific), the birds working to your call (or at least circling). These are just a few reasons we do what we do. So have a great day and don't forget to look around and enjoy the beautiful places we are hunting. Oh yea and don't forget to TAKEM.

Hope you and your buds do in fact 'take-um" tomorrow, you enjoy your day, as you said, there is only one"opening morning" and no place to be but 'de water" :salude: If you have half 'de fun" as we did on the Ambush, then you will have a good day....... and check out the back of the boat/blind every once and a while ...cause the sky just may be full of ducks, like you and I saw on the Ambush
