Maybe. Tomahawk Lake in Black Mountain, I believe, is a no hunting area.
Never been there, but my bird probably had.

I was on Private property, on a local creek in Caldwell County, NC.
Great spot for Wood ducks, and only 5 mins from my work place.
Easy to do a quickie am hunt before work, or a pm jump shoot after work.

I also heard there's some Mandarins that occasionally frequent the ponds at Biltmore Estates near Asheville, NC.
I know you can not hunt there, unless you win the only hunt that they have there (once a year) - which they auction off each year at the Asheville, NC DU Banquet.
http://www.freewebs.com/mountainducks/
and their banquet is coming up... August 30th.

I'll start it off. Shot this Blue Wing Teal in STA-5 WMA (Stormwater Treatment Area) near Palm Beach, FL in January during the 2010-2011 season.

I currently have a drake Widgeon from this past season at the taxidermist right now, hopefully picking him up this weekend.

Thanks man...if you ever find your way down to northern FL, let me know and i will put you on some BWT.

Figured i would give this thread a bump. End of the season means new mounts will be coming back from the taxidermist...so continue to post them up!

The bufflehead is my second. Going to add some grass to it to make it less boring

A little bit of a thread revival.

This is my latest mount from the 2012-2013 season. Dropped it off before i disappeared on my latest IA to FL and deployment. Going to pick it up this Friday. The Bufflehead was the first bird of the season, here in VA and i got the Bluebill and Redhead on a hunt down in FL.
