I would definetly invest in FB decoys to add to your spread, With todays hunting pressure on the geese you need realism in your spread. As the season progresses the birds become more educated. Early season the shells and silo's will work on the younger birds but they learn quickly.
I presently have 12 Big foots that I place closest to where I would like the birds to land, I usally set 3 -4 decoys 20 yds downwind from the spread to simulate a group that has just landed and is walking towards the main spread. Geese are pretty competitive and incoming birds will try to land ahead of these 3-4 decoys in the sweet spot. (some days they just land where ever they want
) I have 10 dz shells and silo's that I fill in upwind of the FB decoys.
