I stare at those pics for hours every morning as soon as I wake up.

Any progress on when we're going to choose the dates?

The traveling decoy is a system where one of us decoy carvers makes a bird and it is sent all over the place and hunted by many different guys on this forum. I carved a scaup duck and Have Gun Will Travel has carved a black duck for this years decoys.

Here is how it works. One person is in charge of the schedule and sets dates for each person on the list to have the decoys. When they receive the decoy(s) he hunts over it and photographs the decoy in action. Once his set time is finished with the decoy(s), he forwards it via mail or hand delivers it to the next person on the list. When it is all over, the hand carved decoys have been enjoyed by many people and hopefully not shot to pieces.

Someone feel free to correct me on anything I have wrong. This is my first year in this thing and I am ready to ship the finished bird to whoever is first on the list.

Just be careful with my bird as it is a gift for a very special person.
Cheers

There is typically a journal sent with the bird as well. Get the bird, hunt and take pics, write about the hunt(s) in the journal, post a few pics here, and send it to the next guy.

Is that all? I hunt ponds with riptides, so I'll chain it to a tree.

What kind of paint is on these decoys? Does it shine much?
