Congrats. Now all you have to do is put in the training time and your hunting will be twice as rewarding. You will watch the new pup mature and get better each year. The pup will also help get you out of bed on the days you want to sleep in (you have got to put your dog on birds thats the best training).

Good luck and enjoy the ride.

If you want to train dogs together some time just send me a PM.

Post rut, I like that :toofunny: I've traveled this road before. I'm looking forward to the process, first thing I did was to buy "Waterdog"..... She will have to read the first 4 chapters by the end of the weekend and there will be a test in the morning :toofunny:

Yes, it's time to have another huntin buddy again. If I can only teach her to "go to the fridge" and pull out a cold daddy for me like Brads "huntin buddy did"

Cut, how is that baby girl of yours doing? Has she begun the chewing on your family phase?

Boss, she not only is cute but smart too. My black was smart but this brown dog has her beat. At 10 weeks old she is heeling...without a check cord, completed her first blind retrieve...over water without a drop... not bad for a $100.00 dog........ Not!!!!!!
She is doing great. Spending a lot of time with her, mostly getting her used to her name and getting used to spending most of her time on my left side. And yes, she is chewing on everything in sight :salude:
